Low Carbon Ferro Chrome is a widely known alloy of iron and chromium. According to its weight, the product contains about 50% to 70% of chromium. As chromium is added to steel, its strength and yield point increase and elongation is minimally reduced. Carbon steels are harder and wear-resistant since they are enhanced with chromium. It is made in an electric arc furnace via the mixture of iron and chromite ore. A large portion of this product is used in the manufacturing of stainless steel and special alloy steel.
Low Carbon Ferro Chrome is available in the size range of 10 mm to 50 mm and 10 mm to 100 mm. It has a melting point of nearly 1550 degree Celcius.
